Post-modified FAU zeolites as efficient catalysts for the synthesis of coumarins

چکیده

Herein, the effect of various treatments subjected to FAU zeolites introduce mesoporosity has been examined on their efficiency as catalyst in cyclisation O-aryl 3-arylpropynoic acid ester its corresponding coumarin. The addition bio-sourced lignin residues alkaline desilication treatment induced generation supplementary mesoporosity, thus offering an optimal micro- and mesopores combination with respect targeted activity selectivity. so-called secondary template (BSST) concept design zeolite-based catalysts could be assessed. use renewable wood feedstocks can therefore a valuable strategy for zeolite post-modification, porous catalysts.

The formation of layer-like FAU-type zeolites was facilitated in the absence of any organic template. Instead, the addition of simple inorganic salts turned out to be an effective and easy to handle alternative to organic additives to induce morphological and even structural changes during zeolite crystallisation.
